I am using an HP stream with Celeron N3060 + iGPU ..
If I boot and touch nothing, It gets stuck at boot logo forever…but if I touch the touchpad it works and I get to the login screen…
is this the way it should be ? or is there a problem ?
Hey Arnold (see what i did there) i’m at the end of the road here and wouldnt mind a tip. Ive tried your builds, cloudready, and linux, on all of them most things work but on none of them all things work. at the minute im trying cloudready but need to get a realtek driver installed, but i cant even log in without wifi and the usb adaptor i have also doesnt work. its showing up on cloudready chronos lspci as an rts5129 but on every other distro its showing as a rtl8723b which you have graciously included in your builds. is there any way i can shove this driver onto cloudready over usb using the shell?
Hi – its not that simple unless the kernel versions match. If they do, to can copy of the .ko file to CloudReady as needed.
Good Luck!

Try the latest special or alpha build
Tried this special image and the latest nightly on a Surface Pro 3, however the display stays on “Booting `local image A'”, though I know it boots and launches Chrome because I hear the login screen sound being played.
Any suggestions?

then I install it on the HDD: boots but stuck on “chromium” logo
yoga 11e (windows not chromebook)
don’t use uefi, use legacy bios
Arnold, I do not see x86-64 build images in the archives after about v60, where as the amd-64 are upto v78.
Where can I find x86-64 v78 of your build?
Also the enhanced and vanilla builds are all tagged with amd-64. How do I get the x86-64 flavour?
32 bit builds are no longer maintained – sorry!
Hi Arnold, how can I enable login using PIN. I set it in setting but PIN option is not there on login screen.
Hi Arnold,
With the change in the iwlwifi driver, in this special R78 release support for this card:
09:00.0 Network controller [0280]: Intel Corporation Centrino Wireless-N 1030 [Rainbow Peak] [8086:008b] (rev 34)
Subsystem: Intel Corporation Centrino Wireless-N 1030 BGN [8086:5315]
Kernel driver in use: iwlwifi
Kernel modules: iwlwifi, wl
appears to have dropped.
Note this is the lspci -knn output for the card on the prior R76 special release. Doing a modprobe of the driver on your R78 fails to find the device too.
I installed it on a laptop without problems, and on the desktop three problems.
1) Before installation
bash: warning: /home/chronos/user/.bash_profile: warning: script from noexec mount; see https://chromium.googlesource.com/chromiumos/docs/+/master/security/noexec_shell_scripts.md
bash: warning: /home/chronos/user/.bashrc: warning: script from noexec mount; see https://chromium.googlesource.com/chromiumos/docs/+/master/security/noexec_shell_scripts.md.
2) When running the installation script
cros-disks stop/waiting
Error: src and dst are the same: /dev/sda = /dev/sda
3) After pressing off, the screen goes blank but the computer is working
My laptop have an a RTL8191SE WiFi card and it’s not working with special builds. Will this WiFi card be supported for the next special build?
Ill add it to the list
